Summer season is in full swing, and so we’re finally sharing M & S’ beautiful summer wedding in Sonoma, CA. When M & S envisioned their dream wedding, they knew they wanted to combine the natural beauty of California’s wine country with a refined, modern aesthetic. We are so thrilled to bring their “elevated garden party” to life.

A Day of Style and Celebration

Known for its clean architecture and lush, calming landscape, we selected MacArthur Hotel & Spa. It is a stunning mid-century modern estate nestled right in Sonoma and it provided the ultimate canvas for our vision. The venue’s inherent charm matched perfectly with the classic-yet-modern vibe that M & S were looking for.

One of the most exciting aspects of this Sonoma wedding was the reception setup. We had the distinct honor of executing one of MacArthur Place’s very first outdoor dining receptions on this particular lawn ad the venue absolutely loved the result!

To achieve the elevated garden party aesthetic, we leaned heavily into the venue's existing black architectural elements — specifically, the striking black trim on the white mid-century buildings. We contrasted these bold, dark accents with romantic hints of soft pinks, warm blushes, and dark greens

To blend the classic and modern elements, our floral design focused on full, lush arrangements that felt both highly intentional and organic. Instead of traditional, towering centerpieces that block conversation, we incorporated ground-growing “meadow” floral installations and delicate table accents.

The sweetheart table was a true focal point of the design. We surrounded M & S with a breathtaking meadow of pink and white blooms that appeared to grow naturally from the lawn, creeping up the sides of their crisp white linen table! Paired with elegant pink taper candles in modern glass hurricanes, it was the perfect distillation of our design concept!

From music selection, to food and drinks, to makeup/hair and attire, and to the decor — every detail was intentionally planned and executed.

We’re so grateful to have been part of this journey — from the planning and design to the laughter and love that filled the day. It was truly such a sweet day celebrating with M & S, and their friends and family! And M & S’ wedding remains one of our favorite event designs to date! :)
